Therapeutic Approach

An important component of my therapeutic style is to ensure that people feel listened to, not judged, and validated, criteria which I believe are essential for change.

I view a person’s motivation to want to change, and establishing a good therapeutic relationship with a client, as being pivotal to therapeutic outcomes.

The psychological therapy that I provide is underpinned by beliefs in:

  • the uniqueness of a person
  • the resilience of people and their ability to overcome adversity
  • the capacity of people to make changes when the right conditions are provided.

I always aim to be highly ethical, and strive to ensure that people feel safe and supported in their sessions, and to facilitate better understanding, insight, and awareness.
